About this item

• Experimental use: suitable for drying and storing moisture- and light-sensitive reagents, pharmaceuticals, and biological samples; also for temporary storage of glassware and experimental samples - available inner diameters 180, 240, 300 mm
• Operation: evacuate chamber to create a low-pressure environment to accelerate drying; apply a thin layer of vacuum grease or petroleum jelly to the lid-to-chamber contact and to the ground-glass vacuum joint, then slide the lid on from one side to seat the joint
• Construction: made of alkali-free (neutral) glass with a vacuum glass piston (24/29 joint) and ground-glass lid, fitted with a porous ceramic frit - inspect and remove any residual ceramic particles before first use
• Safety: use an external pressure gauge (sold separately) and do not exceed a vacuum level of 0.06 MPa; excessive negative pressure can cause brittle fracture of the glass
• Handling & warranty: after evacuation leave the desiccator stationary to avoid overpressure and mechanical stress; damage resulting from improper operation is not covered by warranty
