I have recevied my desiccator but no O-ring for sealing. Should I use grease?

This vaccum desiccator generally don’t need an O-ring or vacuum grease, but using vacuum grease can improve the seal.

Next, position the item to be dried on the ceramic plate at icon 2.
Then, cover with the lid and connect the vacuum tube to icon 3.
Adjust the plug's position at icon 4, and once aligned with the interface, vacuum operation can commence.
