Hello! I am Haklae Lee, a PhD student at Northwestern University. I am looking for a proper container to make an ethanol/dry ice cooling bath and conduct aqueous phase chemical reaction experiments at -20°C. My concern is that the reactions need to continue for up to 7 days. So, I have one question regarding this Dewar Flask - how long (well) the flask can maintain the -20°C temperature with an ethanol/dry ice cooling system, approximately? I would greatly appreciate it if you can give me your insights into this question.Thank you so much and looking forward to hearing from you!Best,Haklae
Dear Customer,
The temperature duration is closely linked to its reaction effectiveness. Kindly note that this is an unsealed container lacking a lid, and it's essential to ensure insulation during the reaction process. Throughout the reaction, there will be continuous consumption of dry ice, and when the dry ice reaches a certain level, it will need to be replenished.
Thanks,
