• Function: vacuum desiccator for controlled drying and storage of moisture-sensitive samples; low-pressure environment accelerates solvent/adsorbed moisture removal (I.D. options: 180 / 240 / 300 mm)
• Intended Use: suitable for powders, pharmaceuticals, biological specimens, hygroscopic reagents, and temporary storage of glassware or experimental samples
• Construction & fittings: manufactured from alkali-free neutral glass with a vacuum glass piston and standard 24/29 ground-glass joint; includes a porous ceramic plate (may contain residual ceramic particles - clean before use)
• Sealing & operation: ensure an airtight seal by applying a thin film of vacuum grease or petroleum jelly to the lid-chamber contact and the 24/29 joint; slide lid on from one side and evacuate with an external vacuum source (pressure gauge sold separately)
• Safety & maintenance: maintain negative pressure below 0.06 MPa; avoid moving the desiccator after evacuation to prevent breakage; inspect/clean ceramic plate before use and wear appropriate PPE. Damage from improper use is not covered by warranty
